Anita Kaplan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker and has been licensed since 2005. After graduating with Honors from The University of Arizona, she earned her Master’s Degree in Social Work from The University of Southern California in 2002. She is a Certified Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) therapist and also a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor.
After earning her Masters degree in 2002, she was hired at a non-profit organization, San Fernando Valley Community Mental Health Center. It is here that she spent the next eleven years of her career providing intensive mental health services to chronically homeless adults diagnosed with severe and persistent mental illness. In 2010, she earned the “Hope Award” in recognition of her dedication and inspired leadership in Program Management by the California Association of Social Rehabilitation Agencies. After working at the non-profit, she spent the next four years in the mental health and addiction industry as the Clinical Outreach Coordinator for Milestones Ranch Malibu. In 2019, she followed her heart back to direct client care offering individual therapy to those suffering from addiction and trauma and provides EMDR therapy to Milestones clients.
